Privacy Policy — Jack Personal Assistant
Last updated: 19 October 2026
1. About This Application
Jack Personal Assistant (“Jack”) is a private, AI-powered assistant operated by Fudong Qin for personal use. It is not offered as a public email service.
Contact: [email protected]
2. Google Data Accessed
With the owner's authorization, Jack may access Gmail message content, email headers, sender and recipient addresses, message identifiers, labels, and mailbox metadata.
Email attachments may be accessed when required for a task explicitly requested by the owner.
Jack uses Google OAuth for authorization. It does not request or store the owner's Google Account password. OAuth credentials are stored in the owner's private application environment.
3. How Data Is Used
Gmail data is used only to perform email-related tasks requested by the owner, including searching, reading, summarizing, drafting, organizing, and sending messages.
Sending emails or making changes to the mailbox requires the owner's explicit instruction and approval.
Google user data is not used for advertising, sold to third parties, or used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
4. AI Processing and Service Providers
When an email task requires AI processing, relevant email content may be transmitted to the AI service provider configured for Jack.
Information sent for processing should be limited to what is necessary for the requested task. The provider's applicable data-processing and retention terms also apply.
Jack is not an exclusively offline application. Email-derived content may also appear in the owner's configured conversation interface when needed to return a requested result.
The operator must use service configurations and terms consistent with this policy and Google's applicable user-data requirements.
5. Storage and Retention
OAuth credentials and application data are stored in the owner's private application environment.
Conversation history, logs, generated summaries, or drafts may contain email-derived information and may persist until deleted under the owner's retention settings. Backups or connected service providers may retain copies according to their applicable retention policies.
Revoking Google access stops future authorized API access but does not automatically delete previously stored content.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
Google user data is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising purposes.
Data may be processed by the service providers needed to carry out the owner's requested tasks, as described above.
When the owner approves sending an email, the approved message and any approved attachments are disclosed to the selected recipients.
Data may also be disclosed where required by applicable law.
7. Security
The operator is responsible for protecting stored OAuth credentials, restricting access to the application environment, and avoiding unnecessary exposure of email content in logs or shared conversations.
No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Revoking Access and Deleting Data
The owner can revoke Jack's Google access through:
https://myaccount.google.com/connections
To delete locally retained credentials, logs, conversation history, or generated files, the owner can remove them from the application environment or contact:
Copies retained by connected services or backups are subject to their applicable deletion and retention procedures.
9. Google API Services User Data Policy
Jack Personal Assistant's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
10. Changes
This policy must be updated before introducing materially different data uses, additional Google services, or public access.
